Phil is the centre manager in El Tur and has been there for 6 months:
“It’s a cool spot here, we have 3 main sailing areas. With the super flat conditions in the bay, cross on waves at “Habibi” beach, and a nice little stunt ramp formed at the point makes this place great for practicing with some varied conditions available.
It has been a super windy winter and I have managed to get lots of time on the water and have learnt a bunch of new moves since arriving.
It’s a quiet little place and the entertainment you make yourself. (not hard with a bottle of rumo and some mates) but usually most of the time we are wiped out from too much windsurfing.
I’m really looking forward getting my first Xpression comp in when i get back to the UK...”
Adam (RRD/Ezzy/SeaSpriteSports/AndyBiggs/TurfDog) who came 4th in the first Xpression decided after a winter of no wind it was time for a holiday....
“the UK with hardly any wind = time for a trip somewhere, Phil and Danielle had been raving about El Tur so off I set on a mini adventure to get some practice in for just over 3 weeks.
With accommodation sorted through payment in bacon it was all about the windsurfing. With Phil having been out here for a fair few months already it was pretty good to see him ripping, getting all sorts of switch tricks consistently and when you sail with someone better than you, you have to go for it. The first two days were firing with 3.3-4.7 weather all day so going switch super fast soon turned into burner attempts and kono's. Anyway with a super nice forecast coming up we want to push it further so watch this space!!”
